After signing with Epitaph records Sage francis is no stranger to the punk rock world, at least that is how I got know about the peculiar and fascinating rapper/spoken word artist.
He came out with a dvd called “Life is easy”, packed with footage old and new, documenting his career.

Local hardcore punk band Elizabeth has started to make quite a name for themselves, after having toured all of europe last year with only but a five song demo tape, they now release their first full length “Where vultures land” on throatruiner records.
They will be on tour as of tomorrow with Daggers playing all of eastern europe so don’t forget to check if their playing near you, they put on a great live show.

Two weeks ago I went to see this terrific documentary about the black power movement during the 1970′s.
The film uses archive footage taken by a swedish film crew who documented the rising of the movement at the time it was all happening.
You have some terrific audio commentary by artists like Erykah Badu and Talib Kweli.
Look it up on the web and see which cinema is showing it near you, it is worth the watch.

The french screamo/post hardcore from Caen released their latest CD last febuary entitled “Nagykanizsa”.
The name of the album comes from a place in hungary the band had to travel through while touring, just like their record “Montuenga”.
It is yet a another solid record these guys have to offer us, with even a bit more heaviness I think.
